Terms and Conditions
By booking services with Becky Richens – Independent Mental Health Nurse Consultant – you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Important notice:
My services are strictly limited to providing training, workshops, consultancy, clinical supervision, reflective practice, team development, and psychoeducation. These services are intended to support understanding and management of mental health and neurodiversity in workplaces, organisations, and daily life.
I do not provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or any other regulated healthcare activities as defined by the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
All clinical supervision and reflective practice offered are for professional development purposes only and do not constitute therapy or clinical treatment.
Clients seeking clinical diagnosis or treatment should be referred to appropriately registered healthcare professionals or services.
By using my services, you acknowledge that these are educational and supportive in nature and are not a substitute for clinical care.
Individual bookings
1 . Payment and Booking
All bookings must be paid in advance by bank transfer. Payment details are provided at the time of booking.
Bookings must be paid within 24 hours of accepting a slot. Slots will only be confirmed once full payment AND completed registration forms are received.
If either payment or registration is delayed, your slot may be released without further notice.
3. Non-Refundable Fees
All payments are non-refundable, including in cases of cancellation or non-attendance.
4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Sundays and UK bank holidays are excluded from the notice period (e.g., a Monday session must be cancelled by the preceding Friday).
Late cancellations or missed appointments incur the full session fee.
Late arrivals will still finish at the scheduled time to respect other bookings.
5. Travel Costs
Travel is charged at £0.55 per mile from postcode SN5 and will be confirmed at the time of booking. These costs must be paid in full in advance.
6. Confidentiality
All bookings are confidential unless there is a concern relating to:
Significant risk of harm to self or others
Disclosure of abuse or illegal activity
A legal obligation to share information
Safeguarding responsibilities take priority over confidentiality where safety is a concern.
7. Safeguarding and Professional Registration
I am a registered mental health nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), fully insured, accredited to deliver clinical supervision, DBS checked, and trained to Safeguarding Level 3.
8. Intellectual Property and Resource Use
All resources, handouts, presentations, and materials provided are the intellectual property of Becky Richens.
These materials are for personal or internal use only and may not be reproduced, shared, or modified without prior permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to provide high-quality support, I am not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from use of my services, except where required by law.
10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If concerns arise, please contact me directly to resolve them as early as possible.
If necessary, a neutral resolution method may be agreed upon by both parties.
11. Data Protection
All personal data is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
For Businesses and Organisations:
1. Service Description
Agreed services will be delivered as outlined in the service proposal. The agreed service proposal serves as the booking form and as the official contract.
2. Cancellations
72 hours notice is required for cancellations. If cancelled without 72 hours notice, or if scheduled sessions are discontinued with prior notice, the full fee will be changed and the time slot may be offered to an alternative organisation. Sundays and hand holidays are excluded from the 72 hour notice period.
3. Pre-Sent Materials
Any required presentations or materials must be reviewed at least 14 days before the event, and feedback provided at least 7 days in advance, unless for short notice bookings (less than 2 calendar months, which will have an alternative, shorter, time scale).
4. Marketing and Use of Materials
Use of my name, biography, photos, or session materials for marketing or internal purposes must be agreed upon in writing.
5. Health and Safety
The booking party is responsible for ensuring the venue complies with health and safety regulations and is accessible.
6. Recording Sessions
Audio or video recording of sessions is not permitted without prior written consent.
7. Feedback Forms
I will provide my own feedback forms unless alternative arrangements are agreed in advance.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All content, materials, and intellectual property (including presentations, documents, and resources) provided remain my property and are for internal use only. Redistribution or modification without permission is prohibited.
9. Limitation of Liability
While I strive to provide high-quality services, I will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential losses arising from the use of my services, except as required by law.
10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Any service issues will be addressed promptly. Both parties will agree on a method of dispute resolution if necessary.
11. Data Protection and Privacy
I process and store personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For full details, please refer to my privacy policy.
12. Photography and Media Consent
If media (photos, videos etc) are taken during events, explicit consent will be obtained beforehand. With pre-agreed consent, photos may be taken and must be shared in full with myself. I reserve the right to use these freely on website, social media and other promotional materials without authorisation.
13. Workshops and Training
Participants are expected to actively engage and follow any ground rules set at the start of workshops or training sessions.
14. Force Majeure
Neither party will be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or other emergencies.
15. Agreement
By booking services, you agree to abide by these terms. An agreed proposal and booking confirmation serves as the contract, confirming acceptance of these terms
16. Payment
Payment is required within 30 days of invoice, by bank transfer.
17. Social Media
It is standard practice for me to share organisational bookings on my social media platforms, both the night before and the night after a booking. Please discuss with me if this is a problem.
18. Logos/partnership working
It is standard practice for me to add your organisational logo to my website and partner organisation. Please discuss with me if this is a problem.
29. Travel Costs
Travel costs will be charged from postcode SN5. These costs will be included in the booking proposal. The cost of transportation (train, flight, car hire, etc.) will be calculated based on the most efficient and reasonable option. Any required taxis or transfers will also be included.
30. Accommodation
For all bookings outside a 50-mile radius of SN5, a hotel room of reasonable standard will be booked, and any overnight stays will be invoiced at a cost of £90-£160 (up to £200 for central London) per night, depending on location and availability.
31. Meals
For all bookings outside a 50-mile radius of SN5, meals will be charged in addition to the fee.
Full-Day Meal Allowance: A £65 daily allowance will cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or as pre-agreed based on the specific needs of the booking.
Individual Meal Allowances:
Breakfast: £15
Lunch: £20
Dinner: £30
