Bespoke Support for Your School’s Unique Needs

I work with you to create a tailored support package that fits the specific needs of your school. Whether it's monthly drop-in sessions for teachers, leading an engaging assembly, hosting a parents' coffee morning, or facilitating a reflective learning session with your SENCO, teaching staff, and leadership team — I’m here to help. Let’s work together to provide the right support for your school community.

Supporting Schools with Neurodivergent Student Wellbeing and Mental Health

As an experienced Mental Health Nurse Consultant, I offer tailored services designed to support schools in fostering an inclusive environment for neurodivergent students. My approach blends clinical expertise, strategic insight, and compassionate engagement to help schools address the unique needs of students experiencing anxiety, ADHD, autism, and other mental health challenges.

What I Offer:

- Neuroaffirming Strategies: I work with schools to develop practices and policies that are inclusive, affirming, and supportive of neurodivergent students. This includes providing guidance on managing anxiety, enhancing social-emotional learning, and fostering positive relationships between students, staff, and peers.

- Workshops and Training: I offer bespoke workshops for staff, parents, and students, focusing on anxiety management, mental health awareness, and strategies to support neurodivergent individuals. These sessions are designed to equip everyone in the school community with tools to enhance understanding and reduce stigma.

- Individual Support Plans: I collaborate with teaching staff, SENCOs, and other professionals to create tailored support plans for neurodivergent students. These plans focus on areas such as behaviour management, classroom strategies, coping mechanisms for anxiety, and supporting self-regulation.

- Wellbeing Check-ins and Mentoring: I offer individual mentoring sessions for students to discuss their mental health, anxiety, and social challenges. These sessions provide a safe space for students to explore their feelings and develop practical coping strategies in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.

- Parental Support: I guide parents on how to support their neurodivergent children at home, offering insights into effective communication, managing stress, and building resilience.

- Resource Development: I develop resources such as booklets, guides, and toolkits to help both students and staff better understand mental health and neurodivergent needs. These resources can be customised for the specific context and needs of your school.

School training and ongoing support

I know how important the emotional wellbeing of your pupils is to you.

Are you often hearing 'they don't meet the threshold' and left unsure of how to support your young people? Are you referrals being rejected by CAMHS and you're not sure what to do next?

As a previous CAMHS service manager, I can understand the pressures CAMHS services are under, and the difficult position this can place teaching and staff in.

Whether it's through the sharing of resources and advice, bespoke training courses, consultancy or ongoing reflective practice meetings (which give your staff a chance to reflect, decompress and learn about mental health in a supportive and open setting), I can support you to support your whole school and give you the confidence to make a difference.
